1. Prepare your SD card
The Idoru P-1 comes with a 32GB SD card that is already correctly formatted as FAT32, and ready to use for your Idoru session.
For other cards, you may need to first format the SD card as FAT32. Here is how you do this…
On Mac OS
1. Insert SD card in P-1 and connect via USB to Mac, or use SD card reader.
2. Search for Disk Utility in Launchpad and open it.
3. Select your SD Card and click Erase.
4. Enter a new name for your SD Card.
5. From the ‘Format’ dropdown, choose: MS-DOS (FAT)
6. Click Erase.
On Windows
- Insert SD card in P-1 and connect via USB to PC, or use SD card reader.
- Right click the SD card in File Manager and select ‘Format’.
- Select ‘Fat32’, then Click ‘Start’, then ‘OK’.
- For bigger cards than 32GB, use a third party application to format the SD card. Such as described here: https://www.diskgenius.com/resource/how-to-format-sd-card-to-fat32.html
2. Set up your songs in the software
Setup your session
- Install the P-1 software from https://idoru.live/downloads
- Open the P-1 software.
- Create a new session by clicking ‘Create new session’ button.

Prepare your songs
- Double-click the song to open the Song Edit view.
- You can use 16 bit 44.1kHz wave files. Either mono or stereo.
- Add wave files to the song: Check output 1 is highlighted, then click on the square labelled ‘F1’. Choose a wave file you want to load into this sound source slot to send to output 1.
- Click on output 2 at the top of the screen, then click on the sound source labelled ‘F2’. Choose a wave file you want to send to output 2.
- Repeat this for any other waves you want to load. You can also send more than one sound source to an output, simply click on a sound source square whilst the desired output is selected. The sound source square will light up indicating it is now also routed to that output.
- If you want to use 2 outputs as a stereo pair, click the stereo link button between the output numbers.
- When ready click the ‘Done’ button to return to the Setlist view.
- Now right-click on your song and select ‘Duplicate’.
- Double-click the new song, and change the wave files by double-clicking on the sound source squares.
- Repeat this process to make your whole set of songs.
